This work plays a crucial role in areas I care about deeply. Healthcare, education, poverty and environmental conservation often have gaps left by for-profit or governmental sectors. This work allows me to be the change I want to see in this world.

I do this work because it's what the community needs. I've also been a helping hand and enjoy talking with others, regardless of their background. I do this work because of the black and brown people who came before me and fought their entire lives for freedom, so I can advocate, educate, and activate the community.

I may not be on the front lines, but I believe the work behind the scenes is just as essential to building the kind of future our kids and community deserve.

My life’s purpose is to serve our communities, and my goal is to see them thrive. My experience as a migrant woman has motivated me to fight every day alongside all our people to transform our pain into collective power and achieve the changes we deserve in health, education, immigration, and other areas—through leadership development and by telling our own stories. I am convinced that another world is possible and that we will win!
