LEADERSHIP
DEVELOPMENT

Leadership Development is how we build skills that yield a return for our member leaders and build the power of SIA

The WRITE HEALING PRAXIS PROJECT is our skills-building program that will be offered in partnership with George Washington University professor Dr. Jameta Barlow. We will coordinate ten cohorts that will have up to 15 individuals. The cohorts will be bilingual (English and Spanish). The cohorts will focus on feminine perspectives and will include people who represent women.

IT'S YOUR STORY YOU SHOULD TELL IT  is our signature program to support our member-leaders and allies in crafting a values-based story that speaks to a pain point experienced by a person coupled with a bold solution to correct the harm.

FAMILY LEADERSHIP ACADEMIES are our bi-monthly skills-building sessions to support our member-leaders in moving up the leadership ladder and reclaiming their power.

COMMUNITY MEETINGS are our monthly issue team meetings. Learn about and engage in our issue campaigns. There are also conversations on hot topics in the media and our community.

PARENT CAFES are offered bi-monthly and provide a safe space for dialogue for caregivers. You do not have to be a parent to participate. You just need to have been born and raised by caregivers. Build community with others.
